Overview: We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Account officer, you will be responsible for managing the organisation’s financial records, your primary objective will be to track expenses, process invoices, record payments, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accounting records, including payable and receivable, general ledger, and other financial records.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements to provide insights and recommendations to the Finance Manager.
  • Monitor daily transactions and bank activities to support treasury functions.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and National Insurance contributions.
  • Maintaining and monitoring the company’s financial systems.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, and internal teams to resolve transaction issues.
  • Track receivables and payables to ensure proper cashflow management.
  • Provide support during audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Maintaining a record of all receipts and payments.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintaining and monitoring the company’s financial systems.
  • Handling general account queries.


The ideal employee must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and competency in accounting principles.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency with accounting software.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.

  • Experience in cross-border transactions and remittance accounting.
  • Ability to think proactively and be a self-starter.
  • Experience working in a tech environment.
  • Knowledge of the Cryptocurrency or blockchain-based payments.
