Overview: We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Treasury officer, you will be responsible for managing the organization’s cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks. Your primary objective will be to oversee bank accounts, investments, and payment processes, ensuring the organisation has sufficient funds to operate while optimizing returns and mitigating financial risks. You will also specialize in cross-border money transfers (remittances), ensuring efficient and compliant transactions while optimizing liquidity and minimizing risks. You will work with stakeholders to implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all aspects of account opening & closing, authorized signatories updated, and ensure electronic banking is operated in a secured manner.
- Prepare and review any related documentations in relation to the bank accounts management.
- Manage day to day relationships with our banking partners.
- Coordinate with banks and colleagues to ensure all required regulatory, banking and financing compliance are met, including the Know Your Clients exercises.
- Manage inter-company cash transfers including ensuring efficient movement of
cash to minimize the impact of cross border taxes. - Optimize cash pooling strategies to maximize interest yield on available funds.
- Implement FX hedging strategies to mitigate currency fluctuations on incoming and outgoing remittances.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with correspondent banks across different regions.
- Execution of foreign exchange transactions to convert receiving currencies to the right sending currencies; as well as optimisation of the FX transaction costs.
- Monitor market trends and adjusting hedging strategies as needed.
- Monitor compliance with KYC/AML regulations across banking partners.
- Produce regular financial reports on key treasury metrics like FX exposure, cash position, and transaction volumes.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations regarding cross-border payments and foreign exchange transactions.
- Manage the set up of bank accounts. bank routing rules and ongoing bank account maintenance in the accounting system.
- Analyze data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
The ideal employee must have
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in corporate treasury/finance operations or administration/secretarial exposure or banking operation background preferred.
- Strong understanding of international banking and payment systems
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively

- Knowledge in Database management is an advantage.
